The Best Fabric To Wear During Summer Time
Summer in The City
It’s a known fact that summer can get very hot here in New York City (and many other places for that matter), and I’ve spent two summers trying to find out how to survive the lovely, but very hot weather. I think I finally have it down to a science, and I can’t wait to go through this summer being less of a sweaty pig.
One fabric I’ve been wearing a lot on the warmer days is linen. Both trousers, dresses, and shirts (and I’m really eyeing these linen shorts from Uniqlo). The first day I seriously put the Linen trousers to a test was on a 30 degrees Celsius hot day, where I was headed to Smorgasburg food market in Williamsburg. But before we talk about how it went let’s just get the facts straight:
Since I have a special love for light colored linen I was a excited to see how it would start looking when I started sweating. I know this might be a somewhat disgusting subject, but the fact is that summer in New York City gets very sweaty. Like very sweaty. But I had zero marks on the trousers. Not even after sitting down. You can image a very impressed me.
All my favorite linen pieces
So I’ve obviously been on the lookout for more linen pieces to add to my summer wardrobe. Mango, Zara and Madewell has some really good options and so does H&M’s conscious collection. If you want to look for high-end pieces Jaquemus has made some beautiful linen shirts, and THE ROW has made some really timeless trousers that I adore. See all my favorites below:

I would love to hear about your favorite pieces for summer down in the comments.
