What I've Been Up To Lately

And she’s back.

You’ve probably been sat on the tip of your chair waiting for this moment (not), and it’s finally here. I’m back. Happy 2019!

Last time we spoke was during Blogmas, which I obviously couldn’t keep up with (probably because of lack of preparation), and chose to just go with Vlogmas. December is a lot of work in this social media sphere.

To bring you all up to speed, here’s a recap of my last three weeks: For Christmas I travelled to Denmark to be with my family. It was a whirlwind of a Christmas, and I have to say my Christmas meter wasn’t all the way up there this year. It was full of grief, a sick family member, and a bit of drama. Just because, why not. For New Year’s Eve I went to London to visit one of my besties, and to celebrate with her and two other friends. Then I stayed in London for 7 days. And now I’m back in New York. And that’s it. We’re up to date.

It’s a new year, so obviously I’ve been thinking back on the year that went as well as planning ahead and making some goals for the year ahead. I actually believe in New Year’s resolutions - and I think it’s become a bit of a trend to think negatively of them - because it’s such a good way to set goals for yourself. I also have great experience sticking too them. In the end of the year - and throughout the year - I look at the list to check off the things I’ve done etc. It keeps me on point. For 2019 I didn’t exactly make a list. Sure, I have many goals business wise and of course I have things I want to obtain in my personal life, but there’s no list this year.

I started my year out with a few days alone in London. I lived in my girlfriend’s apartment, while she was at work and so I had a lot of hours to myself to sort of get deep. Do some soul searching. And it was really good for me. I find spending time with myself so scary, but after these couple of days, I never felt better. I needed the time away from New York and my every day life, to sort of get into my core. So here are the things I’ve promised myself for 2019:

I will no longer spend time with people who add negativity to my life. No bad friendships, no following unreal people on Instagram, no bad vibes.

I want to post more in the moment/real content on my Instagram. More selfies, more videos, more in the moment photos. I think we all need to take it down a notch with the glossy feeds and perfect lives. There are no such thing.

And there you have it. Yes, I have a list of business goals, but I’m not going to focus on those as resolutions. Those are for my to-do list and vision board. So cheers to 2019 being full of positive people and a down to earth, inspired me.

What I've been up to lately

I would love to know down below, if you have any resolutions or goals for 2019?

Or if you don’t believe in those?
