Autumn Days In Upper Manhattan
I’ve been impatiently waiting -
For the crisp, fresh autumn days to arrive here in New York City. But last Saturday felt different. It was only 8 degrees Celsius waking up in the morning, the wind was crisp and the sun was shining from a blue sky. Such a beautiful day! And since that day, the weather has been so gorgeous with a high of 15-17 degrees Celcius. I’m absolutely loving it. It even put me in such festive spirits, that I let you guys vote on Instagram whether I should watch The Holiday or Love Actually (you voted 80/20 for The Holiday, so thank you, I really enjoyed that).
I’ve been loving stylish all my knits with new jeans, suit pants, and occasionally a hat. Loads of layers, that’s always my autumn/winter philosophy. I also always bring out the checks and flannel as it just puts me in such a good mood. I wore the very extra flannel jacket in last weeks outfit post, and in today’s outfit I styled my checked baker boy hat with a classic autumn knit and grey suitpants. I really love how a baker boy hats can give an outfit a totally different feel. From classic to trendy/chic. To give it another trendy touch I added my snake print loafers (though it’s been a little bit too cold to wear those the last couple of days).

This first day of proper autumn weather, Edward and I thought it would only be appropriate with a little walk along the river. Upper Manhattan is definitely underrated if you want good views, cozy walks, and pretty buildings. I love my area so much. And it made me so happy to walk hand-in-hand with Edward and kick the falling leafs. Call me a child, but I’m definitely one of those crazy people, who just pours out the love for autumn. It’s the beginning of the most special, magical season, and that just makes me so happy. And then it’s the season for the best fashion (in my opinion). What your favorite item this season?
